How the Archive Began
Jakarta, 2022 — The first entries in what would become the Raldovan archive were written not for publication but for personal reference. A qualified nutrition professional based in South Jakarta had been maintaining a structured daily log of habits, movement patterns, and nutritional intake for nearly two years. The log grew beyond what any single notebook could hold.
The decision to publish came from a straightforward observation: the patterns documented in that private log matched almost exactly what a growing number of men in the same network were independently attempting to piece together from scattered online sources. Raldovan was established to consolidate those patterns into a single, consistently maintained archive.
The name Raldovan carries no specific meaning — it was chosen to be phonetically distinctive without attaching itself to any single wellness concept or lifestyle category. The journal was not intended to be branded around a founder identity or a particular philosophy. Its identity is the archive itself.
By the end of 2023, the first external contributors had been added. By mid-2024, the editorial structure was formalised with a review process for incoming submissions. The current archive comprises over 340 entries across eight documentation pillars, updated weekly from the editorial office on Jl. Dharmawangsa.
Who Works on the Archive
Editorial Direction & Archive Management
The lead editor oversees all archive entries, manages the eight-pillar indexing structure, and ensures that incoming contributions meet the journal's evidence-informed standards. All nutrition-related content is reviewed by a qualified nutrition professional before publication. Movement and conditioning entries are cross-referenced against peer-reviewed research in exercise physiology.
Contributing Writers
A rotating team of contributors supplies field notes, progress logs, and research summaries across the eight pillars. All contributors hold documented backgrounds in their respective areas — nutrition, fitness programming, personal care, or mindful living.
Review Panel
A panel of qualified wellness and nutrition professionals reviews entries before final publication. The review process checks factual claims against published sources and flags any language that overstates the scope of the guidance provided.
Jakarta Editorial Office
Day-to-day activities are managed from the South Jakarta office on Jl. Dharmawangsa. The office coordinates submissions, manages the archive index, handles reader correspondence, and oversees the weekly publication schedule. The team operates Monday through Friday and welcomes direct enquiries at [email protected].
